Happy August! This month I am happy to feature this amazing artist. Joesette Castaneda Case and I met thru Facebook, and we had planned to meet several times but for some reason or another it hasn't happened. I admire her beautiful skull art. Let's get to know more about Joesette and what inspires her art.
My name is Joesette Castaneda Case, I was born in Arizona and I currently live in CA. My husband and I have been together for 33 years and we have 2 beautiful children. I come from a family of Musicians, Artists, and Performers, including my mother who was very artistic. We grew up with little money and she always made sure our surroundings were amazing!! The homes we lived in weren't always nice, but my mom painted murals and did beautiful artwork to improve our little places. My mother continued to inspire me to be creative with drawing, painting, gardening, cooking and any other creative way to express myself, throughout my life.
I worked in the medical field for 20 years and I woke up one day and decided I wanted to follow my true passion, creating art. My artwork focuses on capturing the music in my head, a moment in time. I see the world in abstract colors and shapes, whether its life's imagery or just the perfect capture of light or darkness. I was fortunate enough to meet a curator who reviewed my work. I wanted a reputable person to critique my art and was blessed when he gave me positive reviews on my pieces. He went on to feature newer artists, including myself, in his gallery at 33 Contemporary Art Studio in Chicago. I've also been invited to do a few smaller shows which has been an amazing learning tool. Currently you can find my work on my website https://www.caseartstudios.online/ or contact me directly at: firstname.lastname@example.org
